At the precise moment of the new moon on June 6, six planets were located in the same area of the zodiac, which is remarkable, including an exact conjunction of the sun, the moon and Venus. When the sun, the moon and Venus align, you have the opportunity to be in touch with a part of your identity that you are not aware of, namely your shadow. As the moon eclipses Venus it renders her light inaccessible to you, which may result in you feeling let down without her usual support.
Venus is often symbolized by a mirror, the mirror that allows you to see yourself and get a sense of your identity. You can access this mirror in meditation, self-reflection, or in the eyes of others and the way they look at you. Also, we often look at our life’s circumstances as a mirror of who we are, which is not always a good idea. Sometimes we create tricky situations for ourselves, and we need to learn about consequences to progress. Other circumstances are tests from the universe to reinforce your resolve and your inner qualities. Not everything is your fault and not everything is karma!
We often feel guilty when we are in a tough spot. Train/retrain your mind to support you no matter what. You are not a bad person because you find yourself in a bad situation. This is very important to understand so you don’t get depressed and lose your confidence when obstacles show up.
You are always Divine Light. Choose self-love over self-criticism. A diamond in the mud is still a diamond. Interestingly, diamond is the symbolic stone of Venus, so yes perhaps, you feel like a diamond that has been thrown in the mud.
When Venus is eclipsed by the moon, you may feel challenged by messages and feedback from others, or you may feel that your circumstances are putting you down, resulting in an identity crisis, thinking that you are not at the level you thought you were.
Do not dread this shadow of Venus, even if this one is particularly tough. It occurs every month to a lesser degree, giving you something new to work on for your evolution! The goal is for you to look in the mirror and ask the mystical question: “Who Am I?” Venus integrates both feminine and masculine components of who you are, your conscious and subconscious, building you up for your highest destiny.
To support your efforts with this shadow work, this meditation is about how to handle difficult situations and build strong healthy boundaries. Many blessings!
